As the United Kingdom advances toward its 2050 net zero carbon emissions target, the role of nuclear energy has become indispensable.
Existing and planned nuclear projects only account for 30% of the required 25 gigawatts of nuclear capacity to meet this goal – the market for new nuclear developments is therefore 18 gigawatts.
